Old title (associate now 28 yo) How do you guys deal with losing friends? I've been grinding in finance for years and trying to build my own business. Balancing work, business, hobbies, friends, gf, and family. Picked my head up after years and realize I've lost connections with so many friends. I rarely get invited to stuff anymore

My relationship just ended yesterday because he wanted to “focus on myself and figure things out.” My relationship before that ended (~2 years ago) because he wanted to focus on himself. I can’t help but feel like it’s because something is wrong with me. What am I doing wrong?

I thought that the occasional visits from the recently divorced single mother that moved in down the hall was the best thing that ever happened to me. I was wrong, getting that mouse jiggler is the best thing that ever happened to me.

Boyfriend and I have been dating for ~1.5 years and we still only spend weekends together. I want to move in together at the 2 year mark but bf thinks it’s too soon... just feels our relationship is stagnant and not going anywhere. Any thoughts from ppl who’ve gone through similar situations?

Unsure if my bf and I are incompatible or if I’m not compromising enough. How do you know the difference? He has so many great qualities that I love but also lacks some qualities that I would like to have but idk if I would be giving up on someone that is great for little things.

Why are relationships so difficult!!!

I have pretty strong social phobia and am worried about making friends. I'm going to be working for an engineering company so I imagine I don't have to be really up on the latest trends or anything but how can I talk to people without making it sound unnatural?

I’m posting this here instead of my usual Big Law bowl because I’m guessing there are people here who will understand. I just need to vent. I am married to a wonderful man who has a young son. A long post: seeking some perspective. My husband of 2 years that I’ve been in a relationship with for more than 8 years just woke up one day and told me that he’s unhappy in our relationship. Feeling a deep void in close human connection after letting go a relationship that was lacking a future (I was interested in something more, he was unsure). Can’t stop thinking of reaching out and need strength to just stay with the loneliness and have hope for the better times. Would appreciate support. How can I get passed cynicism?

Having struggled with visa for the past ~6 years, I have become extremely cynical. I don’t trust real friendships anymore because friends turned into competitors or got too burdened to maintain the friendships.
I feel somewhat disgusted when my coworkers or managers tried to “build rapport” with me.
I understand the value of doing so, but my repulsion inevitably showed through my apparent desire to end small talks as soon as possible.

Anyone here ever been scared by some major differences in materialism with your partner? I’ve been considered “boujee” by some friends but my girlfriend of just over a year is on a whole other level. Among 7 embryos, 5 came normal. 1- 5AA(male), 1-5AA(female),1-4BB(tier2,female),1-4AA(tier1,female), 1-4AA(tier 1, male). What is the best embryo among them? This is my first IVF.
