On onboarding day, any dress code to follow as such ?

I was called into HR because a coworker overheard a conversation between me and another colleague taking about cable/streaming shows that we watched or recorded. I mentioned that I recorded a few true-crime shows. My colleague jokingly said, "I hope I'm not on your hit-list!". I replied, "Not anymore." HR pulled me in to say a coworker complained about me talking about hit-lists, and they were now scared. HR wouldn't say who complained, so do I have a right to ask about the resolution to this?

OR circulating nurse here. Will preface this by saying I have the utmost respect for CSFAs in the OR setting. However, wondering if any other OR RN’s have had issues with CSFAs feeling and acting like they are in charge of the room or attempt to carry out tasks that you as an RN are supposed to do? I do love having help, but we have one FA who hijacks my tasks and gets upset when i do not do things the way they would and attempts to instruct me on how to do my job

How do you deal with CDs and ECDs who clearly favour the guys in the (otherwise all male) department for no reason other than they're also guys? Do you bring it up with them? Go elsewhere?

Do you have one-on-ones with your direct manager? What do you talk about? I’m early in my career, but always struggling with having productive meetings and feeling like my manager and I have somewhat of a relationship.

Completely and totally miserable at my firm and just need a space to vent because my friends are tired of hearing about it. Networking question here. A retired partner at the firm I used to work out reached out to me recently about attending an afternoon during the week (b4 4/30) with one of his long time clients. Torn as how to request off as an S3. Could materialize to nothing but could be good for reconnecting.

I’m have a new theory about why juniors always feel like idiots and wanted to see if anyone else thinks this makes sense. I’m a third year, and am the most junior person all of my teams (generally me, a senior or two, and a partner or two), and I always feel like I’m messing something up. Is this just because I never get to work with other juniors and don’t see the mistakes they make, and that it’s relatively normal? And FWIW I went to HYS and I’ve had a clerkship so it’s not like I’m not smart

Let’s talk about wrongful termination. The other day I was fired in the middle of the day without any warning. My colleagues called me because they were confused on why the Talent Manager dismissed me from the chat. I didn’t know what they were referring to. So I called my PM to ask what was happening, and she said that she just got off the phone with the TM and said they were terminating my contract on the spot due to me speaking up about micromanaging. No explanation just kicked out. Advice?

Do you guys think it's worth paying off an auto loan? I have a 10k, 3 year loan with about 4k balance remaining. Interest is about 4%. I want to get rid of the loan but the total interest I pay over the life of the whole loan is only like $700.

I embed videos I make demonstrating how to complete a question, next I ask them to complete an example showing work, and then the next question they type their answer so it automatically alerts them to see if they answered correctly.
