Any tips/warnings/advice on potentially trying to move from Big 4 to either MBB or a T2 boutique firm? I’m anticipating reaching M1 in Big 4 within the next 12 months. I really like my current practice, but frankly as I eye comp across the bowl, I’m hungry for more elsewhere, even with the recent Big 4 bumps. I have 5 YOE (3 consulting, 2 industry) all within somewhat niche subject matter, as well as my MBA (non “prestigious” school however). Any thoughts or clarifying questions are welcome, TIA

Got a new job and will start H-1B transfer. What’s the risk of giving my notice right before LCA is filed or right after? I know all lawyers advice to give notice once H-1B receipt is received but I need a break from my current role and want to have some free time before I start new role. Hi all- My SO is currently at a Big4 & was initially preparing for S&O roles at GCP but given the high number of ex MBB consultants hired, they believe its just more competition to get the offer & to eventually get promoted over time.

Instead, they have decided to pursue program manager or cloud consultant roles, which they feel might have a lower barrier to entry from an assessment standpoint. Not sure if the bowl agrees but would like to get your thoughts, thanks!

Currently in risk consulting but seconding at an international bank for internal audit on trade related scopes. Recently got offered to join them at a higher level position. Need advice on career path of IA at bank if it's worth, because they pay would be gradually higher than consulting in the later years when reaching VP level and coming in from different industry, the new scopes are interesting. But what would I be missing out on if I stayed in consulting?

So im starting to lead meetings with clients but I always find myself going back and forth with the client trying to get more information following the initial WT which I feel is annoying . Is this normal or do I need to do a better job of writing out questions and agendas prior to the meeting.

What’s the level of evidence of review needed for controls that are not management review controls (MRC)? I’m an internal auditor and I’m documenting what is needed for lower risk controls in the SOX environment.

I wanted to share that I am in my first job as ui/ux expert and I am the only ux/ui person in the team. I am expected to take care of entire research and design of the product. It becomes very overwhelming as the product that I am working on is in a early phase and I am expected to think about ui as well as ux and also design entire app on my own.There is no user interview or user testing happening as my project manager thinks it can be done after product is launched. Please help!

Then i started a digital design role for 2 yrs and then made my transition into ux. i have been in a ux role for 5 years. But i want to steer my career towards something more creative. Like in 5-10 years I wouldn’t want to be a specialist or a ux director. I d like to be an art director or creative director. I love branding & marketing but also product. Would love something that allows me to do both?

Is anybody using WACOM CINTIQ Pro 24"? I am contemplating getting one but wondering if I will be able to use a mouse/tablet along with it. I heavily use InDesign and wonder if I can use a mouse/tablet when I need to without unplugging it. Thanks in advance!
