One of our partners retired a few years ago and his favorite associate (now junior partner) inherited a good chunk of his book. I’ve worked with one client of the inherited book for years, and am often on consultation calls with the client + the partner, and increasingly the client asks me for my thoughts after the partner gives their opinion (imo not in an inclusive, let the kids grow, way, but a “I don’t like that answer, what about you?” way). Partner not happy. any thoughts on how to handle?

I’m not sure why it’s your problem if the client prefers your opinion. If it bothers the partner that much they could choose to take you off the case, couldn’t they?

You could be a Yes Man and agree with the partner or you can keep disagreeing, start your own firm and steak the client 😈

Citius Tech. I asked for 30LPA. HR said it's not at all a problem.

Yesterday the HR replied that they can't match my expectation and thanks for applying.
