What should my requested salary be for a Senior Intelligence Analyst position with CrowdStrike ? I have a bachelors degree and 5 years of experience as an intelligence analyst. Current salary is 56k in NC, but when I was in DC I was making 86k (big locality change)… which makes me confused on what I should expect for a remote job.
What's the salary range for a director at the Gilead Sciences foundation? There is a position perfect for me, but I don't want to throw my hat in the ring if starting salary isn't $180-190k. Also, any thoughts on the stability of their philanthropic commitment? There's talk of a recession; I don't want to go private to be cute a few months later.

That's true, in the course of my work I've had to interact with people from throughout the state and county governments. And I've also had to deal with members of the public and various community boards and become familiar with their concerns and viewpoints. It's not always easy, to be honest, sometimes you're in the middle of a dispute that will invariably leave someone disappointed. But, as you say, the goal is to find a better solution, and there are times it's gratifying to know that has happened.
I agree I worked for government a long time. We had a good team of ppl that mostly worked well with each other. I loved my job but then got laid off. Then the ppl left all killed the job for the rest. I don't know why they shut it down!
Real teamwork isn’t just about agreeing, it’s about listening when it’s uncomfortable and finding common ground anyway. Diverse perspectives can clash, but that’s where the best ideas come from. It’s messy but worth it when you see solutions that actually help the community.
Well said & great perspective 👍
That's an interesting question. I work in public health, and I appreciate getting to talk to a wide range of people. Scientists, healthcare providers, educators, everyday citizens. Everybody relates to each other in such interesting ways and I enjoy figuring out how to tailor my approach in the best way possible to each demographic.
That's a great response! Sounds like great collaborative team!
I worked for the DOE for over 8 years. It was a great job and had good bosses mostly. A few were ok but I loved my job. I did most of the work myself but I had some great SME'S to work along side of me.
Glad to hear you had an overall positive career there!
