I wouldn’t leave for a boutique firm.. There is a whole another level of pain that comes with it. They simply don’t have as many resources. The smallest I would go is probably Kearney or A&M.
Exactly echo what EYP1 said. I’m not sure what ‘pain’ comes with joining a boutique. I was with EY before this and know the real pain I had with respect to the work and projects I had.
OP. If you want to work in pharma, ZS is the best place to be. All big pharma work with ZS. The projects are challenging and the learning curve is massive.
Feel free to DM !
Just out of curiosity, ZS1, which team are you a part of? My understanding is that ZS has several sub-functions within SIP that more or less align with pharma/biotech functions (like market access, pricing, sales force optimization, etc.).
Is that true or am I totally wrong? How much work does ZS do with corporate development, brand strategy, or new product teams at big pharma (guessing a lot)?
Thank you all for so many things to think about! I am not crazy about pharma, but I know they are expanding in other areas. How is the culture? I work a typical 9-5 at D with lots of flexibility
I work 8:30-6. Very rarely work past 7 and most weeks log 45-50 hours. Joined about a year ago fresh outta undergrad
Disagree with C1's take, but understand where they are coming from.
I would have joined ZS over EYP if I was set on the life sciences, given their reputation in the space and solid exit opportunities into industry. But I enjoy CDDs and having PE clients, so I'm still kicking it here
