Opportunity to change firms (currently M)- Accenture SM (not strategy) or EYP M, 1 year to go to SM. Pay difference is actually quite high (EYP less than 10% inc., ACN 30+% increase). Seems like a no brainer based on comp. wondering if EYP can raise their offer and surprised it’s so low. Any thoughts ?

How do “commissions” on top of base salary typically work for pre-litigation associate compensation?

Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients).
