Option A: $135-$140k base in industry, 25-30% bonus. Only meaningful raises when promoted, easy WLB, set my own schedule. Option B: Stay in consulting, get promoted up to Manager ($150-$165 ish base), 5-10% bonus, solid yearly raises, unpredictable projects/WLB. I’ve done both but considering going back to industry for the ease of WLB and setting own schedule.

I'm reading this book on boundaries. In the work section it says I should tell my boss that I can't work after 5 PM. Knowing that advertising work commonly goes past 5 PM...would my job be in danger if I said that?
