Pension is too complicated for me to figure out, but it does exist. Seems like a tremendous deal of you make Partner!

Form contributes up to $500 to HSA, lots of PTO if you can find time to take it. Father also works for firm and has great health insurance, but is very expensive (works for him bc he’s old). I have a plan and lay about $60 a month. Same with dental.

Of course, we get steaks / ice cream every summer so that’s great

50% starts after year 4 I’m pretty sure

KPMG is now 50% up to 5%, starting within months of starting work.

Manager 1, what about other benefits such as pension etc ?

Pension is a defined contribution plan where the contribution is a %age of salary, %age determined by your age + years of service. I think the lowest is 2.5% and the highest 11.5% or somewhere around there.

Pension contribution is 2.5% at KPMG and the account grows by 5%.

What about PWC, Deloitte, Cap Gemini, Accenture and others

Can someone point me to some material where I can read about profit sharing vs 401k. I get the concept, but I am trying to understand is 10% profit sharing vested over 5 years better than an employee 401k match of 6%?

From my understanding 10% PS is better because it’s just a standard 10% on top of whatever I contribute though it takes 5 years to vest. Does this mean if I leave before 5 years I don’t get any of it?

I am considering investing in an early stage startup. I know the founders for many years and are more like family to me. I will be investing $100K with a convertible note. What should be the equity that I should be drawing out? I don’t want to draw just the fair amount so the company is not at a disadvantage when they eventually raise money outside of F&F. They are valued at $5M by a startup accelerator and received $50K as part of being admitted into the program. Contd.
