Hi All,
I have joined IBM in July 2022. I haven't got any project till now. Skill set is PySpark, AWS, Spark, Hadoop, Hive, SQL. 2 Project interviews are done and they haven't considered my profile.
I have 7years total and 2.3 years Relevant Experience is there. Monday I have one project interview for Production support project. Is it good to go with Support project or shall I wait for a development role? Is it tough to get a project in IBM if you're hired a pool resource?

Are there particular reasons you want to shift over to consulting? And are you willing to start from the bottom? In my experience, people with significant experience (10+ years) have a tough time transitioning into consulting from healthcare administration unless they are in a sales capacity and leveraging their network. You may spend your first year doing analyst level work with no one under you, even if your title is higher than that.
Don’t do it!!
I would love to get your input
This director is spot on! I have seen more experienced hires counseled out than anyone else
Bowl Leader
Yeah unfortunately I’ve had to council out 4 experienced hires this year. All super smart folks but industry to consulting just wasn’t happening for them as they missed out on some basic consulting building blocks at the junior levels.
Good morning
Saw your note and wanted to connect.
Good morning, May I send you a DM if you want to connect privately?
Don't do it. Its brutal.
Better pay and bonuses. Be prepared for traveling, being self sufficient, networking to get on projects and proposals, and selling. The higher you come in the more pressure on sales and recruiting for projects/proposals.
Healthcare might seem slowpace coming onto consulting. Also healthcare has really old technology compared to consulting. Let me know if you’d like a referral to Deloitte!
