I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview

A lot to process with this. How are you finding out who the hire is going to? That seems abnormal. Also: have you considered that those who you consider DEI hire might be more qualified or better suited for the role than you?
I constantly check LinkedIn to see who was hired, just to analyze what I am missing, sometimes yes they deserve the position more than me honestly but in general it is not a case.
No matter what happens at the end they hire person out of my gender. Never lost a competition to male candidate. Reached 5+ referrals and they passed the resume and silence, asked what is happening and response was that they want female candidate.
Endless time I had been asked if am fluent in Chinese/Hindi/Punjabi and when I say no they refuse and mention that it is needed for the job.
I am Western Asian male, 36 years, have open work permit, have 2 years of hr experience here in Canada (thanks god there are employers that hire based on merit) and 10 years out of Canada, got my RPR have American ones as well. I can’t land even 20dollar an hour job in the last one year. What is happening? How come candidate with one year experience (just graduated) can beat me in competition in front of vice president? It is a manufacturing job requiring expertise on specific areas including ISO audits, I don’t really understand this.
While not in BC, I do hire people for my HR team. Since the roles are internal customer focused resource roles, the interview is usually the deciding factor between equally qualified candidates. I recommend filming yourself answering interview questions to see how you may come off to the interviewer. Consider what would make a good or bad interview for the roles you are going for and tweak your delivery or answers based on what you observe in your own response style.
