Meta technical solutions consultant interview prep - can someone let me know if they have gone through the technical rounds for Technical Solutions Consultant role? Can you share what to prepare for since it’s not a data science type of role so most likely not hard level MySQL questions. Any specific types of queries that I should learn? Thanks!

Look at the industry. Do you really think white men are having a hard time? Really?

With all these layoffs and AI, everyone is having a hard time. Aside from a group of powerful white men in high up positions. I think young white men are in the same boat like everyone else atm. AI is set to replace everyone, and doesn’t care which ethnicity you are.
Aside from that: yes, there’s a persistent lack of diversity in agencies.
Let’s hope agencies still hire (truly) diverse even after DEI departments are being cut. From a place of conviction, not because a DEI program told them to. Data suggests white women were the primary beneficiaries of diversity and inclusion initiatives anyway.
dei is getting slashed everywhere under this regime. no shade but i feel like white people are fine.

IQ45 can’t stop me from hiring with diversity in mind.
A lot of people will suggest that they didn’t get a job or a promotion because they’re white and male. This ignores the percentage of people in the industry (at every level) who are white, male or both. There are situations where agencies may want to bring in some diverse talent, but every single person in leadership I’ve personally heard talking about how the industry is against white males, hired a white male (or a team of white males) within a month or two of making the comment.
There’s a lot of competition out there. I’ve never heard of someone skipping over the most talented candidate for someone less capable but more “diverse”, but I’ve definitely seen the opposite.

Yes. Mention your sexual orientation whenever possible.
Hey, it worked for Joan Harris.
The reason white men are having a hard time is because the agencies are already filled with white men 💀 try waiting til they finally get rid of the other white men
Yes. Use whatever you can. Good luck.

I think it really just depends on your company, department, team etc. I worked at an agency for six years and as a Millennial and Latina, I never fit in. Everyone was a rich, white, NJ Gen Z-er, who was nice, but lacked personality. Any minority was Asian or white female-identifying. Now I work at another agency and my team has a much broader range of backgrounds and ages and I don’t feel so weird to reference Anchorman or some other Millennial artifact lol. But the team doesn’t feel like DEI hires and feels organic and hired based on experience alone. White guys will always be fine. As for you, just focus on being yourself and creating good product. I don’t think anyone cares about anyone’s background so long as people are kind, respectful, hardworking, and sincere. My “weirdness” was never well-received at my last agency. My new one? They eat it up with a spoon. I think a work environment is very much like any other relationship—it takes time to find the right fit. Best of luck!
If you have good connections and friends on the inside of those elite or in-house agencies, you’ll be fine. That’s where the hiring invariably starts. Rightly or wrongly, it’s about who’s willing to personally advocate for you when you are not in the room.
You’re fine, lol.
In my experience, agencies would l
Oops. As I was saying, agencies would like to promote diversity (or at least look like they are). But that’s doesn’t mean white guys aren’t getting hired.
