Hi All,
Please guide do Joining Cognizant on Contractual role is worthy or not?
Current Situation - due to bgv not completing as one of my company as per CTS is black listed so they changed my hiring from permanent to contractual role.
Please guide as I have no knowledge of contractual roles. 🙏
Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.
After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

Need some advice here. I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Microsoft Google Adobe PwC EY Citi Barclays JPMorgan Chase

So what's wrong ?
@Op-Based on my understanding this is how it works.
1)Hr spoke to you and your expectations were well within their budget
2)You did well that is why you were sent for n number of rounds
3)Someone,who could be anyone a cat, dog, mouse or whoever agreed to join at 13 trumps your skills any day. Its a game of margin for companies.
4)You were among the best candidates they interviewed so they thought of asking you to join them.
Bhai service industry is like agar client laash ki billing dene ko tayyar ho jaye to ye laash ko hire kar lein. You can imagine laash ki koi expectations to hongi nahi, hiring manager and hr will get pat on the back for 100%margin and when client discovers that he approved billing of a laash, achaanak se company k bgv vendor ki report aa jayegi ki bhaiya ye to laash thi. HRs will fire that laash and then bgv team and hr will get appreciated again for their high quality of governance and processes

Now don't apply for tcs , cognizant, cpgemini , Infosys even big four you are our of budget now , max deloite can give you yoe * 6 . I had experinced for all those.
Only product based can give you better than this and few service based like naggaro, tsystems ...
Hi All,
I am working in Oracle in order to Cash finance profile and looking for job change. Please let me know if any openings is there. I have 8 year's of experience and working as Lead Analyst.
P.s. my intention is not to rant about tcs. I just wanted to let everyone know what games these hr plays. From the comment section it is evident that I am not the only one. Tcs is doing this with many candidates.
So satark rhe.. savdhan rhe😂😂
I had similar experience with TCS, they should not schedule interview if their offer is much lower than existing offers. It saves their time as well as the candidate’s time.
This happened with me as well, i had an offer of 17 L but TCS was ready to give 12L only.. then what is the use of attending 3 r 4 rounds of interview 🤔
The things is each company will be looking for different specialisations from you. So one company may find you okay to hire for the huge amount. The other company in turn, agreed with you and while interviewing if they find that you are not having the right set of knowledge and skills for their requirements they obviously reduce the CTC.
Same happened with me with TCS. My ctc was 26lpa, I had an offer of 40 and TCS was willing to give me 12. I told them that I was at 12lpa 5 years back. Why would you even call me back with such an offer. They said we'll blacklist you and I said I'll blacklist you first!
PM1- they had budget constraints.
Accept and don't join
Wtf 🧐🧐 however heard many people having same experience with TCS hiring process.
This happened to me too. I had the offer of 24 LPA & I asked them 26 LPA, they took 4 rounds in 3-4 weeks & want me to upload the docs so that they can offer 16-17 LPA. It's sad they're wasting our time.
Same happened with me.
Atleast they are giving you hike, I was asked to settle for a lesser salary 😂
What's your techstack dude
@Test Engineer 1 you are earning less because of your mindset. You are scared of losing your job. Maybe you are not as good as you think.
It happened to me as well..they offered my current company CTC🤦

And I just asked for 18.5 lpa from Infy for 6 yoe and still got rejected because apparently I am Out of Budget🤣
My spouse is working in infy with 6.5 lpa with 8 yoe.
You atleast got an increased amount. To me, TCS said to work on the same package and promised to give me the best rating as March is around the corner.
What is the purpose of this post? I seriously don't get it. People are getting laid off, some even struggling to get 40% hike with many years of experience while switching. You got a 22 from 9lac. Be thankful you even have a job now. If you keep switching companies for hikes, then after a point you will be someone who is overpaid. You will either be laid off or more for a same ctc as your current.
LSEG1 - we all can understand your frustration ..
The new year is coming. Have some life. Take a break. Forget who will be laid off.
Which company gave you 22 lpa??
Obviously companies other than TCS 😂
Same happened with me, I had offer of 25 LPA and TCS was giving 21 LPA only.
Happened with me as well
The employer was infosys
Cctc 15LPA
Was holding an offer of 23 LPA
And they offered me 11.5 LPA (15% variable included).
Wasted my 2 weeks and 5 followup mails.
What I mean is accept the TCS offer , get all the bgc done and then don’t join
Hm..TCS HR does these things. During call they said will give Gurgaon, and in offer letter sent BLR location and then they don't reply to mails or calls.
They think the bad behaviour they do with in house employees they can do outside also. I rejected their offer and now they want me to come on call with manager which hired me.

My salary discussion happened 4 months ago and the offer letter still eludes me.
