Hello I got a confirmation from HR at Shell that I have been selected for a role and there will be background checks before joining the company. He said the mail will come from a 3rd party vendor for the background verification. It has been 1 week and there has been no mails till now. Is it normal? Should I follow up with the HR again?
So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Not sure why the question is for PMs only but here’s an idea- depending on what and how much is missing, either drop / impute values and / or make assumptions. Often combining 2-3 variables can give a fairly interesting read of pain points. And if you have qual interviews, cherry on the cake.
Create personas with what you’ve got
Chart the user journey
Mark the moments that matter
Identify what the desired results are and where they are falling short
Use the data you have, looking at each persona separately, and interpolate the pain points based on the moments that matter and where you feel like the friction is.
