How's ORD T3 line?
I dreamed that it was snowing in ATL and my flight was delayed until tonight. My dream lied to me :(
30F, thinking about separating from my marriage and looking at cities I could move to. Currently working in ATL and I’d need to come back at least once a month(prefer driving) since I’d still be working/based here. Ideas on affordable yet fun cities? I make 120k right now & I’d prob take the dog with me. TIA! 💚💜
Are broker fees a thing in San Fran? Paying ridiculous fees to rent makes me hate this city
Currently have 9k in brokerage and 31k in savings and want to move to a 50/50 split and then continue adding to brokerage. Over what timeline would you DCA the 11k into brokerage given the election?
Greenberg Atl first year pay?
A3 in San Jose?
Have an offer for $110K pre-tax in consulting and have the option to choose between Boston, DC, Seattle, and San Francisco. I prefer East Coast but which cities would allow me to save the most versus the least? Trying to understand cost of living in these cities, 27M Single, just FYI.
Being asked by United to switch to a different flight for a travel voucher or miles. They want me to bid for one of the options. I can take the flight 5hrs later. How much should I bid? IAD to DTW
DCA airport. Thank god for my tsa pre-check. I have been diamond for three years. Now I am gold; Other than silver, I feel like a plebian. Thoughts?
Sitting behind Ben Carson, from ATL to FLL, wonder what he thinks of the debate last night. Famous people that you saw on the flight?
Best food in JFK Terminal 5?
Has anyone noticed the insane amount of advertising Accenture does in JFK terminal B and C?
Where exactly is the TSA pre line in EWR terminal C? The last few times I’ve flown out of EWR, it’s been so confusing ...
Any insider info about BBH NY?
I think I asked for too low of a salary during initial interviews elsewhere. The recruiter never told me the band either. About to go into second round. Is there still a chance to ask for more?
Hi guys, I have a last interview round with a company coming up, and I already know I don’t want to work there (as I’m interviewing with other places I find more exciting). Would you do the last interview and THEN let them know you don’t want it? Or would you tell them before the last round interview? And would you just say you’re interviewing with some other places more aligned to your end-goals?
Hi everyone! I’m a young CPA, relocating to Raleigh. I made the decision to transition into sales after realizing that I want to bring more fun into my career. I’m currently reading sales books, watching Keenan’s YouTube channel, and learning all I can. I’m relentlessly applying for SDR positions but I’m having trouble landing interviews (been applying through LinkedIn). I would appreciate advice from anyone who transitioned from another industry into sales. How did you break the barrier?
Would anyone at McKinsey be willing to help me prepare for the PEI portion of interviewing? Have my super day coming up and just want to fine tune my understanding of the format. Thank you!
Now that tips + gov fees are baked into Uber/Lyft/Food delivery apps, I’ve become much healthier and learned to cook this year! Bless all of you still in consulting who get more points cause of this though.
Long post alert. Also, confusing post alert haha. So, I'm going to be divorced in the next few months and have 2 kids who'll be with me. Ever since this situation has been finalized, I'm becoming very conscious of our spend & have been tight about it. Covid has helped. But I noticed that even my grocery store bills are pretty high...like a single run to Meijer is $125+. Costco is like $200 or so. We've always had fresh fruits, nuts liberally used in our house. Am I the only teacher who doesn’t have family or friends willing to help with their classroom? I’ve moved rooms every year for the last 5 years and I have a large family and lot of friends, but no one is ever willing to help. I told my mom today that it really hurts my feelings, as she declined my request to help as she simultaneously asked ME to help do something for my sister’s house. I explained I’m always there when people need me, but I feel let down when I’m in need. Anyone else?
What practice areas (if any) would be a natural move for a mid-level commercial real estate/finance associate? I started trying to leave my firm in February and, at the time, was super in-demand. Now, with Covid, commercial real estate is slow & I think I'll be stuck where I am for at least another year if I don't make a practice area shift. Are there any other practice areas where my experience would be valuable?
I applied for a senior accounting role and received a take home assignment. What do company’s expect to see from a take home assignment documentation and technically?
Does Guidehouse look worse on a resume/MBA application than IBM consulting? Currently not in Federal
Hi Folks, Can someone from McKinsey & Company kindly guide me on Knowledge Specialist roles in McK. I’ve been approached by the Talent Scout for such opportunity, want to know if it’s a front office role or back office and will there be a case study round for this role? Also, is it a good option to move from client facing consulting role to KS roles. TIA
Are you supposed to expense Uber that you take out to a restaurant for dinner? I’m assuming not?
Hi , Need your advice. Im about to complete 1 yr in tcs. I was forcefully allocated to a support project ,now i have cleared digital exam, but when i asked my HR, she is asking me to stay till 1 year in the project for getting release, since my digital cadre depends on bands i have decided to stay till i get band. My concern is that what would be the best course of action if i lose my digital cadre due to a bad band or i will not be able to get release from this project ? Can a 1 yoe switch ?
I am currently a senior consultant at Accenture. Should I accept a position at MBB for an analyst position? Pay is very similar but it would be a downgrade in the role, but however it is MBB.
Into to SQL and Python. Looking to learn basics before doing project work. How is datacamp on the iPad? Any Udemy courses worth looking into?
