Is it wrong/bad to accept a job offer for a position which you have gone through the interview process for that requires 2 more years of experience than you currently have? It is for SC at B4. I just recently became C.
So I love my coworkers and my boss, and I don’t want them to think I’m unhappy but I do need a raise. Is it off putting for me to go to them and say I got another offer? I just feel like it’s a little awkward for them to know I’ve been going on other interviews
I have left Deloitte after accepting another offer ( waiting to start the new role and taking time off between) . Now another dream role reached out to me for an interview. Should I tell them I am no longer with Deloitte if the HR asks? They had my old resume. Has anyone been though this situation? My main dilemma is I don’t know what to say why I left the job since the main reason was the new offer.
For folks exiting to FAANG / Product at start ups or really any hot company. How do you go about networking to get the interview? Do you apply then cold email someone you may have an “in”with, or are you picking say 10 companies and then having warm contacts there that you’ll ping when you see a job. I’ve been passively looking for jobs but zero luck, I only want to leave for the right fit. Big 4 here so feel my brand won’t auto get me an interview like mbb/t2

I’m have an interview this afternoon with a local accounting firm in our small town. I’m incredibly nervous because even though I’ll be graduating soon with my Bachelors in Accounting, I have zero work experience in this field and feel out of my league. Currently I attend school full time online and work from home managing our family business. Any tips or advice? I don’t want to oversell myself but I don’t want to undersell me either.

I’m in a small, close knit bar. I love my firm (not biglaw) and the people I work with but I really, truly hate billing hours. I am interviewing with a boutique firm that does not track billables and has a great rep for work/life balance. I’m excited at the prospect of more $ for less time, but will also feel guilty to leave my firm after they spent significant resources over the past few years “raising” me, only to lose me. Tell me I’m being silly and that this won’t burn bridges.

Started working a week after graduating last May. Was on track to be one of the top staff performers and then COVID hit. Since working from home I am one of the lowest performers. Anxiety and stress are crippling my ability to succeed. I have social anxiety which makes wfh communication extremely difficult.
