I wish, for the sake of our brand, we could secure this "talent" through a third party instead of allowing them to call themselves Deloitte people. On this project they aren't professional and are not good brand ambassadors.

like

Once you start talking about staff aug , your image as a value-add consultant immediately goes out the window. You are a supplier of meat for the meat grinder, and nothing more, from that point on.

like

Our brand will be fine

like

Yeah OP not really. I don't need to say more but I know what project you're talking about and what PPD.

like

compete on staff augmentation/O&M projects where we can't put consulting/advisory staff because our rates are too high. She spoke like it's a good thing, but I feel like it makes it feel cheap. We aren't MBB but we aren't one of these "butt in seats" federal staffing agencies. But these federal HR processors they're hiring are walking around with Deloitte badges and half of them don't even have college degrees and don't even realise what Deloitte does.

like

You posted a bit too much OP because now I know what project you're talking about and what PPD.

like

I really wish you used better discretion posting things on this forum!

like

How? Have you seen some of these people? Their behavior and how they conduct themselves?

like

@D2- exactly. Staff Aug work isn't transformative. You don't add value.

like

Neither is PMO but we sell that all the time

Confident and quick to shoot off at the mouth without knowing what you're actually talking about. Guys like you are a dime a dozen in this firm.

Anyhow, there have been concerns that the attire choices, decorum/professional demeanor, business acumen/polish, etc... aren't conducive our mission to be "trusted advisors." Very delicate subject, hard to talk about without coming off elitist. There are a few I've met who are really bright and going above and beyond i believe they should be hired into the PPD/Specialist track.

Off topic comments are 👎🏻

Operations and Maintenance- aka "keeping the lights on". Idk if it's an S&O term, I heard it in industry and use it still

Because the client doesn't give a shit as long as we complete the contract. We hire subs all the time and I guarantee the clients just assume they are deloitte as well.

What is PDM , TSA ?

M1 if you're lucky OP will come post project names and names of all his colleagues...he's dumb enough to post identifying client details so I don't see why he wouldn't tell more!

Actually, D3, my comments were carefully anonymised. Client names and roles were obfuscated so as to relay a clear picture without actually revealing anything about a specific account or project or practitioner. So good luck tracing it back to anything.

Oh yeah? Which one? Lol.

Now everyone knows what project. Doesn't seem like you will last here for much longer!

I’m currently working at a law firm in San Diego specializing in coastal property rights as a litigation paralegal and legal assistant. We received a minute order from a preliminary injunction hearing. Our client was ordered to post an injunction bond of $2,500. First our client walked to the courthouse to try to pay the bond up front, but they would not accept his money. He tried to call several bond companies, but all said the amount was too small. So how do you post an injunction bond?

Recently I've been considering to move to MBB due to project types, team dynamics, client interaction, etc. I've talked to friends in McKinsey and bcg (former case partners), they are very willing to refer me but they are relative new. And they recommend me to network with partners to get better chance.
