Hi there. Ex Deloitte Sr Mgr here, currently in tech pre sales (SaaS / MarTech). Recently spoke to both Salesforce and Adobe recruiters for roles that I thought were lateral moves (Sr SA / Sr SC), therefore I did not proceed with the selection process. The recruiters from both companies told me they typically hire at that level, and people are considered for promotion to Principal in 1 to 2 years. I found that odd. Is that right? What’s the typical TC for SAs and SCs there? (15+ yrs exp).
I have raised a laptop replacement TT but it haven't even dispatched & I'll be going back to Bangalore in 5days, so if the laptop doesn't get delivered to me before I go off to Bangalore, can i raise another TT & get it exchanged in the office??? Please help, if you know what can be done here !!! Amazon

Laid off of course. Personally, I would prefer job security over anything.
Company generally try to retain the employees if they are valuable.. if there is any option for them. So if you are staying without promotion, means they have some value of you, which is better than getting laid off. This shows the level of skill you have wrt the market requirements.
