I don’t think Thanksgiving has anything to do with Christianity?
But you should consider that even for those who are not concerned about missing the holiday, flights will likely be quite expensive for anyone traveling in.
This is the answer. If you have guests traveling, please realize how expensive (and miserable)it is to fly for thanksgiving. If your guests are local, maybe do Thanksgiving Friday? Check venue availability. You may struggle to find vendors who want time with family too.

Thankgiving is not a Christian holiday. It is an American tradition. A time if family get togethers and dare I say, big college football games. You will lose a fair number of guests with family conflicts.
It's one of the busiest travel times. So expensive with expected travel delays.

Are you planning a wedding in the US? Or, expecting a lot if people from the US to attend? There are other countries that celebrate, some on different dates, Canada, Australia, Brazil.
While it started as a relgious holiday, with the Pilgrims giving thanks to God, and churches may still have it on their liturgical calendar, it is very much a secular holiday in the US. Just as I would not suggest Labor Day or Memorial Day.

travel and hotels on thanksgiving are horrible, and honestly i think it’s a crappy day to plan a wedding given it’s normally a family holiday. idk what being christian has to do with anything though im jewish and my family still very much gathers for thanksgiving every year
