I think 3-4 is fine. Just like make it questions that the interviewer can talk about for a while. Not like “do you like your job” etc.
Yeah, that’s too many. Do you have that many questions about the position? If so, try to ask different people at the company
Yeah, it sounds like overkill. If you truly have questions, that’s fine, but too many makes you seem disingenuous. Recruiters definitely have some good advice but I’ve realized that they there’s sometimes a disconnect with them and the companies they work with/for. Most recruiters have more outgoing personalities since their job is more of a sales role. The accountants that you’re interviewing with are most likely less “sales-y” and more to the point. Asking them 15 questions in a 45 minute interview may not go over well. I’d go with your gut.
