Does anyone know about the WLB and overall environment at Maron Marval? Have a current offer on the table and strongly considering taking it 30k increase in salary but my current role is 100% remote with great WLB and new offer is mostly in office with fridays WFH.

Not trying to read too much into signs because I don’t want to get hopes up to be let down, but what does it mean that a recruiter follows up an email within 1hr not by email, but phone call with an update that I’m one of the two final candidates. I’m getting interview burnout during my job search and this being the first time a recruiter followed up by phone instead of email and quickly at that. When will I see the light at the end of the tunnel?

Hi all, I’m looking to move in a mid size audit firm (RSM, GT other..). I am promoted to S2 in Big4. How are the hours in audit financial services ? Is it slightly better ? I’m utilized > 100% all year, averaging 60hr.

For those of you in public accounting returning from leave (maternity, medical, sabbatical, etc.), did being away from work for an extended period make you rethink your career or at least whether you want to stay in public? If you ended up leaving your company/firm/public accounting, how long did it take you and what were the factors in your decision?
