So PwC just fucked everyone basically?

like

Yes

like

Pretty much. Would imagine the year isn't going so well so that was their solution. Delay bonus payments and then eliminate them via the delay

like

Aren't these the same percentages that were always available in the benefits page?

like

@ senior 1 - 😂. Not even close. The ranges for seniors only went up about 1% on the high end, no change on the low end.

like

Did they increase by the amount of the contribution awards that were taken away?

like

Yes

Woof.

Basically Seniors only get bonuses once a year instead of September and January. Mainly benefited associates. Seniors were the most f$&@ed by this new process.

^i thought associates don't get bonuses?

They do now. Contribution awards basically got pushed back into a year end bonus instead.

Tier 1 senior bonus is 10-17%. That's not less than FY16.

New associate tier 1 range is 3-5%. Experienced associate tier 1 range is 4-8%. These seem pretty comparable to the contribution awards to me.

^the issue is that Tier 1 bonus range for seniors did not increase by the 4-8% of the contribution awards.

^ this. The way it was phrased was that the pool was just being added to the year end pool. But the year end ranges didn't increase anywhere near enough for that to be the case. Mostly for seniors. Associate ranges seem about right.

^ I don't think that's correct, but I can't find the FY 16 targets.

The tier 1 range for FY16 annual performance awards for seniors was more like 8-12% I thought.

Are you suggesting that between the contribution awards and annual performance bonus, the tier 1 range for seniors was 14-25%? That's more than directors/sr managers for any line of service. Pretty sure the current year ranges factor in the loss of the contribution awards.

Not that much obviously. But the low end of the tier 1 range only went from 8-10%. Pretty sure a tier 1 performer would have gotten more than 2% in contribution awards. At least in my market

Far enough. So maybe a percentage point or two was lost on the lower end of the ranges.

Doesn't seem too bad overall, esp if you consider the tuition reimbursement that was added this year (understand those without student loans wouldn't benefit from this, but it's nice for those of us who do).

I have the FY16 numbers, I save them every year. Tier 1 seniors went up 2-5% from last year's range. Manager+ was the same.

2-5% is pretty much equal to the contribution range. Seems like PwC made us whole (granted the payout is later).

I think living a frugal life and aiming to retire early makes a lot of sense.

Recently, some of my family members are diagnosed with a rare diseases. When you look at the statistics, these are so many of these ‘rare’ conditions and cumulatively they are not rare.

These family members conditions made me reevaluate how I want to spend my life. I am 35 this year and I can’t decide if I should take great vacations with my kids or keep living a frugal life. Do you have the same dilemma?
