What is ‘enough’ money to you where an increase in compensation doesn’t necessarily make you happier?
Black box comp at mid law. Base Pay is currently 25 percent less than top market and bonus program is meh. Billable hours req is 1800 though. Given how hot the job market is, what is the best way to ask for more pay in the year end discussion without pissing the firm (that I like) off.
What’s the correlation between compensation & happiness? I have never been a very happy person (depressed from time to time) and my comp is only 150k. What compensation do I need to reach so that I can become immediately happy? 200k, 300k, 500k?

Is anyone else getting “agree” ratings on their snapshots? When scatterplots were released, I observed more that 50% of the dots were in the top right quad, meanwhile I’m sitting on the axis. Am I wrong in feeling like I have sharper critics and that the variations in data are a result of inconsistent messaging around performance? What can be done here? Will this affect compensation & ability to succeed?
Digital BCG SEA, is the sign on bonus available here for expert track? If so, will it be included and offered by default as part of the offered package or need to be requested and negotiated for? Any tips or advices how to open up that conversation and any estimated expected amount? Thanks!

Parent has a thrift savings plan and it’s all in bonds which yields a really low rate of return. retiring this year. With coming inflation, would it be a good idea to consider shifting at least some of that into other funds like the C Fund (common stock index) or otherwise diversify? They don’t need all of the money right away but would need to slowly dip into it over time. TIA!
Feeling the capacity crunch at my current agency and starting to think about long term moves. I’ve been promised a senior management promotion within the year but wondering - at the senior level, what are the considerations I should think about in deciding to say or jump ship?
In a medical malpractice action, where a Charitable Immunity cap on liability applies to individual defendants as well as the defendant hospital, does the cap apply to each or globally as to the case? I am on my 3rd H1B company and joined recently. The current employer is someone whom I have worked for before. If I get a better offer in the upcoming months, I would take it. I am concerned that the current one wouldn’t give me a customized Employment Verification Letter. I would need to get it from a common company template. How important it is to have a customized EVL and signature of the manager?
I got a fat raise and promotion this year but that hasn’t cured my depression. Considering leaving and a paycut to just make it to next year alive.

What is a sign there is no growth opportunity at your agency and what do you do about it if anything? Are you ok contuining in the position you've already been in for 5 years, doing your job in the same capacity for years to come (different campaigns, same bullshit), knowing not much will change? Or would you leave?
I feel like using star method in interviews in overrated. I stopped using STAR and finally started to get offers. It’s better to be genuine and let the conversation flow than to stick to a structure. Thoughts? Maybe I just got lucky.
I need a new car and still waiting on the compensation damage (personal injury). Thinking about getting a lease to finance it and then pay it off once I receive the money. Any cons to this? I don’t want to put my savings into a car. Thank you!
Any mid-level copywriters looking for work? We had another writer leave and are looking to fill the position. It's a small shop with incredible creative leadership and fun food accounts. Trust me, you’ll get a lot of opportunities and have a blast. PM a link to your book and I'll tell you more.
Started working for an agency during the pandemic and found out that they cut associate salaries for those who started during the pandemic. I’m doing the same amount of work and getting paid less just because I started during the pandemic. Seeing as the agency has won more business and things are pretty much back to normal, would it look bad for me to ask for a raise?
Wife got lawyer, and I am interviewing lawyers starting tomorrow. I am primary breadwinner (95%), but she is citing at-fault divorce. Any pointers? No kids. Married for 3 years. I paid her student loans and put her through school.
