Most agency teams have client engagement as part of the team to help escalate issues. A PM should have some level of accountability, but so should the CP, AD and the vendor.
Somewhat agree. However, this PM’s hands have been tied bc she hasn’t been given resources to find a new dev co.
If this has been escalated before why is the PM being scapegoated? Seems like someone in leadership is internalizing the problem when, how you framed it, sounds like a vendor is not hitting what they’re scoped for. Is your legal/BA involved? I guess it all comes down to what degree these escalations have been flagged.
How did it get this far?
If you have nothing to show after that long then it's on the PM, there should have been status meeting held by the PM to show progress and not trust the vendor entirely to deliver.
How big is the site? I own my own agency but would offer to look at the scope for free, you can remove the cost and I could tell you if it makes sense.

It’s not a very big site and we can’t even get a homepage on a staging site.
The dev company is now doing the work for free which is supposed to be a way to compensate for the shit work done in the past.
At this point, we’re struggling to find a new dev co. at a lower cost bc we’ve flushed thousands on this other useless company.
I can recommend good resources if you are interested. They don’t work for free but they are reasonable agency and extremely good at what they do.
