Quit my job a while ago, S3 tax senior business tax, located NYC, top 20 firm. Got a lot contacts from recruiters but mostly all for PA jobs, I don’t want too much gap on my resume, should I go back to PA? If yes, should I go Big4, Top 50, or small companies with 20-60ppl? The reason I asked is because I want better WLB (no 80 hr weeks). I have heard small companies have way better wlb (50ish) but slightly higher pay (above 130k) than larger firm but will it hurt my resume? Deloitte PwC KPMG EY

I applied for a job and received an offer from my client. 15k+ bump in salary, better benefits/remote work, and responsibilities will give me exposure to all areas of the organization (start up). The problem is that they’re looking to staff me as a Senior when I’m currently a Manager at DT. They said they’re flexible on title, but curious to hear how others have navigated similar situations. So after two weeks of waiting (and giving up on the idea of getting the job really), the recruiter got back to me.

They said due to month-end and quarter-end close they were busy and couldn’t get back to me as quickly for a “good update”.

The recruiter said the CFO enjoyed our call, she, the CFO, will call me next week directly to “discuss some final things”.
