Changing job with *pending* I-140 under AC21 / Supplement J
AC21 provisions (here - www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-7-part-e-chapter-5) asks that > The applicant is the beneficiary of an approved Form I-140 petition **or of a pending petition that is ultimately approved;**
But though my I-140 and AOS are filed and pending, Berry Applemen (BAL) lawyer says they can't file supplement J unless I-140 is approved.
Anyone faced this issue? Or any examples where BAL filed Supp J in such cases?
Me whenever I see a good deal

Currently interviewing for a Manager role at Deloitte in their CBO/OT - Payments team. My next interview is with 3 practitioners (40min each) to discuss role and fitness. Has anyone gone through a similar interview process with D recently? Or if you’re an SM/Partner, mind sharing the interview process at this stage?

Networking is generally more effective than submitting resumes, especially when it's not 100% obvious you're qualified (i.e. you'd be great, but haven't done exactly that for 5 years or whatever). Your connections can refer you in, which hiring managers prefer to slogging though a stack of resumes anyhow.
I can't seem to find a good fit for my skillset for non consulting jobs. Either I'm overqualified for boring positions or not qualified at all.
5 years out of college and would consider myself a generalist in cloud/infrastructure. Haven't been able to focus on a special skill during my tenure.
My question is... Is it nearly impossible to find a non consulting gig that would make me happy financially? Am I just stuck with consulting until I can exit on a manager level? Appreciate all the feedback
This has been a major problem for me. I’ve been job searching for 1.5 years (only been here 2.5) and can’t seem to find what industry job would be tolerable enough to jump to that isn’t Program/Project Management/internal consulting/etc and also pays close to our salary without taking a huge cut. I am very general based on the work we have available and it’s hard to finesse my experience when my projects only last months and focus on different things. I think doing info interviews and reaching out to your network to figure out what type of activities you like could better inform your search. That’s what I’ve started doing and it’s helping direct my search more.
Sorry to hear about your exit - hang in there!
My advice is to apply for various types of roles you think you’re qualified for with your resume and eventually devote more effort to those which you get most responses from within industry. Essentially let the labor buyers pick you out from the crowd.
