I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.

The very first thing I ever sold, at the age 9, was horseshit. My Dad wanted me to use a wheelbarrow and spread a pile that had accumulated over the winter across the field. Instead, I went into the barn and got a piece of wood & some paint and made a sign that said - "Horse manure for sale". About a week later, a guy showed up with a truck, filled the back of it with manure and gave me $5.00. It wasn't enough to cover all the mushrooms he was growing, so he returned a week later and did the same. This time he brought a bottle of wine for my parents & another five bucks for me.
Haha that’s awesome
Fucked around in uni, didn't get good enough grades to do anything better so decided to climb the sales ladder instead as no real skills are needed.
Wow, but are we making 6 figures? Yes, yes we are. Do we go on incentive trips across the globe? Yes, yes we do. Can we pay our bills, own a home, have a family and send an ungrateful kids to Uni? We’ll see, by the looks of things perhaps I’ve just increased my portfolio instead.
I was having a hard time finding work after college. Took a part-time job as a server in a well-known bar in Seattle. Through my experience I was able to learn different kinds of alcohol and mixes, brands, company names and company employees. I became close with the people in the companies until I was offered a role as sales agent. I was young and very energetic, my knowledge of the beverage that I got from my server experience helped me a lot until I finally reached the position I am holding today.
I was a graffitti writer as a kid, then got hired to paint signs.... i started selling custom painted signs. Now, I sell all types of signs and sign packages and programs. Yes, I'm well into the 6 figure salary
It was really my plan from the get-go. It took me 10 years to get where I am now. Everyone's stories are so fun to read.
