Hello All,
I have recently joined FIS Global around end of April. My mother recently met with an accident and she needs to be operated.
I haven't been able to update the anything regarding the insurance part yet on FIS portal.
Will my mother's treatment be covered under the insurance? If yes, what's the procedure for the same? What are the documents that I need to submit in order to claim the amount?
Can anyone please guide?

Document everything. His call, the times he asked you to bill less, etc.
It seems like he’s blaming you for the penalties bc you worked less and didn’t see them? Am I understanding that?
As for getting past it, just understand that people lash out when they are cornered, and his business is failing so he’s freaking out.
Take no more calls, respond to emails professionally.
That’s exactly right. He doesn’t want me to work and I even made crystal clear that was my standing order. But now he’s freaking out because he thinks these things were my responsibility.
This situation has escalated. He sent me a nasty letter and then yelled at me for about half an hour on the phone. I proved I wasn’t responsible but I feel afraid. I understand that this post will most likely be lost in the sea, but I guess I just need to say it somewhere. I’ve called my doc about I’m having acute stress symptoms.
Why? I’m wired that way. PTSD, so ignoring the fight or flight is much easier said than done.
Response option 1: His emotions are not your responsibility. Quit per the termination terms of your consulting agreement.
Response option 2: His emotions are not your responsibility. If you feel that you can and want to fix his issue, then do so and charge him for it.
For instance if taxes need to be filed, give an estimate of what it would take. If taxes need to be paid, then explain to him what needs to be paid and how much. Offer to arrange a call to the IRS to set up a payment plan. (As business owner he has to do that but you can start the process)
This guy is panicking because his livelihood is at stake. Taking the emotion out of what feels like a dire situation can help things immensely
Feel free to DM me if you want to get into specifics. I have faced something similar.
Sorry OP, you’ll get through it!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Don’t let his anger and irresponsibility be your problem. You tried to help and he knew he wasn’t paying so not sure how he can blame anyone for a feee handout. Just end it and say I’m happy to help if you’ll pay but this is your responsibility (if it is).
It certainly is.
I suggest you make it clear to him that you do not appreciate his behaviors (yelling, nasty letter and controlling how much you should charge to serve him). Also, you will need to tell him if he needs free or discounted service, he will need to find someone else. One of my mentors once told me our clients are not friends, and I need to always access potential risk as I provide services. I am not sure how this all started and whether you were responsible for the penalty or not. Don’t let your clients bully you. That will not work and you should terminate the service.
That’s what happened! He has several times called me because I’m also a chaplain for law enforcement but he doesn’t consider that professional time so doesn’t expect me to charge. It’s true I’m not providing accounting services but I’m also not selling that time to someone else. I don’t call him when I need to bend an ear. This is all not good but I think the straw was the risk exposure. You’re right and as I’m assessing that, I’m feeling like, run, don’t walk.
UPDATE: short and sweet resignation letter. Basically told him we are not a fit, changing my business focus, he needs a full time staffer and professional payroll provider. Gave it 2 weeks.
My heart rate dropped immediately. Man this stuff is real, comrades. Mind your health!
