Any word on layoffs at JPM?
Although Amazon has instituted a hiring freeze and layoffs are probably on their way, I went through the loop for a security engineer position at AWS. Before I attended the final interviews, Amazon placed the hiring freeze and called me to ask if I wanted to go ahead or cancel my application. I decided do go ahead Right now I'm waiting for their response and the position I applied to changed from "under consideration" to "no longer under consideration". Thoughts?

You'll be fine. Just don't do anything outrageously bad like turn up hungover regularly or get in a fight with the CD.
However, if you do get in a fight with the CD, make sure you destroy them utterly and take their amulet. Then you will be the CD.
It’s pretty standard. Just work hard and be a team player. As long as you’re performing decently, being easy to work with help ensure you stick around.
Think of it this way. With very junior employees, you’re prepared to train them in writing/art direction and presentations, etc. But sometimes they also don’t know how to show up to work on time, or attend meetings, or be polite.
The probation gives them a little cushion just in case you’re still in college mode and can’t perform the basic functions of a working adult. But it’s not like people are observing you under a microscope 24/7.
Work hard & ask questions- you’ll be fine.
Unless you are a complete nightmare, I wouldn’t worry about it.
It’s standard, some places have 6 months. Be open to learning and listening, do your thing, you’ll be sweet.
Agencies are desperate for juniors because they make the highest percentage mark up from them. So they will be wanting to please you.
Lovely
Don’t over think it. Or the ads you make.
You’re not going to let go as a junior. Just learn and don’t come from a place of fear when you work.
Which Leo office?
Most jobs actually come with a period like that. Don’t get to stressed over it. Just join in, do the kind of work that made you want to be a writer, and enjoy yourself.
Congrats!!! Just make you work hard, put in extra effort, bring more ideas/ lines than they ask you to bring. At your level, people really just want to make sure someone is willing to put in the hours to get to something interesting. No one expects a junior to have a good idea every time or right off the bat. It's all about the effort, show everyone up with the amount of stuff you bring to the table and you'll be golden.
On day one, you must write the entire team your list of things that you will and will not do. It's very important that you get that out within the first hour of sitting down at your desk. Trust me.
I’d hire you based on that one reply, CW3.
I had a jr CW position where I wasn’t the CD’s first choice. I was the Group CD’s first choice. The CD reminded me of that often which made me miserable. I quit before the end of my probation period. She probably intended for that to happen and I was too inexperienced to know I should have reported it.
I tell you this to let you know how extreme the situation has to be for you to blow it. Do your best and you’ll be fine.
