Crossroads Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. I have been with the organization almost 6 years and have accomplished achievement of my MSL (Masters Strategic Leadership) and LOVE the organization…BUT…I am not having any success in moving into a new position…my interviews are great experiences but it seems to be a pattern of not being selected yet encouraged to continue applying…received information from a mentor/manager to ask for candid feedback…when is enough…ENOUGH??

You're better off staying with pwc and doing it. No one gonna hire you then send you off to work in another country off the bat. You'll have to out in time to prove yourself since it's such a competitive program
At KPMG you have to be with the firm for 2 years before you can do a rotation internationally
I believe it's available in most of the top 10 firms so you don't have to limit to B4. I remember a huge BDO presence in the city I was on secondment in.
Interesting. Is it hard to apply tho?
They're all hard to get into
M1 That's true. But another problem is that I don't stay in audit either....thinking switching from audit to TS but PwC in my market is not hiring, EY has reached out for an TS FDD opportunity which sounds pretty interesting.
from an ey perspective I think it would be unlikely that you would qualify for the global exchange program within 18 months of joining firm and application process is lengthy so could be 2 years after joining that you could travel. While the gep brings with it a lot of perks if you really want to travel you could just reach out to the firms in the locations you want to travel to - that might be easier.
PwC won't favor a secondment if it is not within other US firms ( like the ones they acquired from advisory in other countries). They will tell you they would and make you stay a year without moving forward... all a scam.
I am in tax at EY but was hired in NY and sent to London immediately. It was what I interviewed for. Spent my first 4 years living and working for EY in the UK. Love that everyone is saying EY won’t do it. They do. Not saying it is common; but global mobility (working overseas) is very encouraged at EY. It is an amazing experience and I highly recommend you do try to go on a Global assignment in your career.
Does your coach / partners know you want to go abroad? As others said, you should stay and transfer with pwc, more chance of it happening soon. But if you want to go and don't have support, will be nearly impossible
I hear H&R Block has a good program.
