I am working as a QAE 1 in Amazon. Current CTC (12.5 LPA base + 3.5LPA bonus) I will get promoted to QAE 2 in Amazon in a year.. I got offer from microsoft for Testing consultant role and the CTC for it is 21LPA. Should I join Microsoft or just stay in Amazon?

Recruiter for big tech company reached out on LinkedIn about a role. I asked about ballpark compensation numbers and they said they’re only comfortable sharing on a live call. If I get fired while on OPT without getting my H1-B stamped, is it useless or can it be used in future for some other job?

This one is for folks on h1b visa. So at time when you have an offer in hand(not accepted the offer yet and h1b transfer process not yet begun) while you are working with your current employer, do you even speak to your employer about your new offer to see if they make a counter offer?
Is there a risk involved with this approach assuming your current employer doesn't provide you with a counter offer and they ask you to leave immediately (and your h1b visa hasn't been transferred either)

Hey everyone! At what stage do you think it would be appropriate to share that I am currently on an H-1B work visa? I got reached out by the CEO regarding an opportunity they are recruiting for. I applied and have made it to the final round of interviews that’s this week. In the application they didn’t ask about sponsorship or anything, and I didn’t want to automatically disqualify myself by telling them before giving my final round presentation. My final interview is Tuesday.
