You can have it all, you just can’t usually have it all at once. Set expectations with the exec team that you will be out from x date to x date. Work your booty off ahead of time to leave them as prepared as possible. Consider a “slow roll” back in where you are available via email, cell, zoom etc but are not in person. Get baby onto a schedule by 6 weeks (yes this is possible) where you can anticipate nap times. Then after 12 - 16 weeks you will know when you should have Flex Time in your day from home. I have 3 kids and have had to make adjustments but find that communication with all involved is key. If you can swing it, hire a nanny!
Girl. You can have it all. Be a mom, have amazing career. Dont setttle for less. I got my job as an SVP with a 5 month old at home.
Check in with HR on maternity leave and how it all works and understand your options.
We can have it all. Know your worth and go for it.
Congrats on your pregnancy!!
Wtf kind of world do we live in that a woman has to worry about losing her spot to raise a child. Ugh
Standing ovation for you!

Have you looked into the legalities of all this? I am not based in the US haha so much better in EU but as far as I know they cannot change job while you’re on mat leave.
All of you are amazing 👏 👏 I was having a moment of panic and spiralling. But I can have it all, it's all about upfront, clear communication. THANK YOU.
If anyone else has any advice, please I would still love to hear it.
Know your rights. Start by researching your company's maternity leave policy and any relevant local regulations. Understand your entitlements, like duration of leave, pay, job protection, and pumping rights. Knowledge is power, mama!
This is such a tough spot to be in. I would recommend not worrying about anything but that time with your baby. Kids grow up so fast and I think you will regret not taking that time. There will always be more promotions and more opportunity but time with your kiddo is soemthing there will not be more of.
