I work for a VC backed tech firm, male dominated, fast paced, multiple acquisitions planned for the upcoming year. How do I navigate all of this? I want to take the time with my baby, I won't get it again, but I'm ambitious, career-driven, I've worked hard to be where I am. I'm the only senior marketer. What if I don't pick it straight back up? What if someone "takes" my role? How do you navigate it?!

At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. What are your client follow-up/communication policies or practices? I’m hearing more and more that clients don’t like the long periods of time with little to no contact. From my perspective, since I bill for my time, unless I have an update or need something, I don’t initiate a call. Also, clients hold on to important info and don’t initiate a call cause they’re waiting for me to communicate with them.
