Hi Fishes, I have received an offer from Barclays for AVP position. But the role discussed during interview was for Tech Delivery Manager whereas the offer letter mentions it as Tech Delivery Lead. Can you guys please suggest if it is the same role or should I request recruiter to get the role updated? Moreover it would be great if any of you can shed some light on the prospects/challenges of this role based on your experiences. Barclays Barclays global service center

I am looking to identify committed Christians within Deloitte who would be interested in serving on the US board of a global non-profit committed to restoring the lives of those who have been traumatized via human trafficking or gender-based violence in SE Asia. Deloitte has been instrumental in partnering with Hagar International via pro-bono consulting and we would love to leverage this partnership on our US board.

Thats how I feel about my current job. Never feel guilty for wanting to leave a job. If the company found a better and cheaper person, you'd be replaced in a blink of an eye.
I feel that way, about e-discovery though. What I tell myself is that a) it helps the truth come out in litigation/proceedings/investigations, enabling justice, and b) it’s basically my niche now, I’ve been doing it so long.
Accounting though, I feel like is more widely applicable. Personally I wouldn’t feel bad about interviewing and trying to get into something you can really put your full self into. When you think about it it’s really a win-win—you get to do something you enjoy, and someone else that really wants to do public accounting will take your spot when you leave.
I understand where you are coming from feeling guilty for interviewing. But you shouldn’t feel guilty! I always ask myself, “do I really feel guilty, or do I just feel bad?” For stuff like this, it helps to realize I feel crumby because it’s a rough situation but I haven’t done anything wrong. You wouldn’t hold it against a coworker (I assume) for not announcing he or she was interviewing elsewhere. Why expect that from yourself? In fact, making that announcement could put your ability to take care of yourself/your family in jeopardy if your current employer fired you. Good luck finding a gig you will be happier at!
I'm starting to get this feeling. I'm beating myself up for desiring a promotion for so long before realizing I can't handle the responsibilities of my job. I honestly hope this is only a short-term fad. May God lead everyone of us to our true happiness!
