Hello—I am sorry you had such a negative experience in your previous role. My advice for you would be to not take their actions personally. Based on your description, the environment your superiors cultivated is not the right one for you. I also had a similar experience. Take this as a lesson on what you won’t allow in your next opportunity. I would not bash your old job to hiring managers as it may leave a negative impression on you. Instead, you should focus on your interests in furthering you
Anyone, either within your old lab, or at your old organization but a different lab, that you were friends with? I would reach out to them and see if they know about other labs hiring. I am not saying that if they help you find a new position, you have to stay there forever, but you'll be looking for a new role from a good place.

When it gets to a point to where your position is jeopardized, apply to other jobs while still employed. Let them fire you. That way, if they're at fault, you not only have documentation, but something else lined up. Don't let that stop you from accepting other offers before you're fired, though - do what's best for you!
I’m so happy you found i’m
