What’s what the base salary and any RVUs?
It depends on the company what is offered. In regards to benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401 k, short term and long term disability), 2-5 CME days, $1500 CME and productivity bonuses.
What’s about base salary and specialty?
Appreciate the responses!
This is for primary care/urgent care position. Salary is 125k
2 weeks is unacceptable in our field. Do not let them take advantage of the fact you are a new graduate. 4 weeks is the minimum and I have never seen or heard of less than that in the 5 years I've been practicing.
Salary should be 100-110k starting if you aren't in some expensive COL area. Obviously take into account benefit package. If its unbelievable than the salary can be lower which is fine (working in the VA is a great example of that).
AAPA has a customised salary information based on location and years if experience and can be used as a method of negotiation
For CME:
50% of what total? $1500-2000 is typical
How much paid time off for CME? 1 week is typical.
PTO: I’ve seen anywhere from 22-26 days per year (and usually paid holidays but this depends on specialty and if inpatient/24h vs outpatient clinic).
As mentioned by another PA, AAPA has a helpful resource (need membership to access) for salary metrics based on years of experience and specialty.
Salary for new grad at my academic medical center (across specialties):
Tier A (M-F) = 112K
Tier B (includes weekends/holidays) = 117K
Tier C (24/7 service) = 121K

GET it in writing. See if your state is At will hiring firing or in case of employee leaving. The latest tool is to tell you the employee hand book is the contract. Ask to see what your health benefit plans are in advance. Because I think based on personal experience if they can get away with it they may offer you a plan that is no better than what you can purchase on your own.
One more thing. There is nothing in any contract or employee manual I have read that states you have to build up vacation time before taking a day off. Nor, do you have to use vacation time if you do take a day off. At my current job I do not have time to attend to personal business like set up appointments to get my car fixed. Make sure they understand if you need to take care of you, they don't tell you you cannot . If they say you are salaried and you have to come in look them in they eye and say you are welcome to doc my pay if needed but I'm taking a day off. However, when I was new I probably had imposter syndrome and did not realize my self worth.
