Almonds, deli turkey, nature valley protein bars, beef jerkey, PBfit
Quest and the Oh Yeah One are high protein but also full sugar alcohol and stuff you normally wouldn’t cook with in a kitchen. I eat them.
Less protein but “all natural” would be Clif Bars and my favorite is Pro Meal Bar - only 10g protein but really good for sustained workout, run, hike, bike and climb.
I usually do Pro Meal Bar and supplement with whey+milk+1 cup fruit juice to make up the difference
If you are not actively working to build muscle you can skip the whey and stick with the Pro Meal Bar - you don’t need more than .7g of protein per lb of body weight unless you are lifting >= 3x per week
One or Quest bars, hard boiled eggs (make a bigger batch and then easy snacking for a few days), Flex protein crisps (kinda like popcorners but 10g protein per serving, sold at Whole Foods - BBQ and buffalo are the best flavors), jerky, low salt nuts, nonfat green yogurt (plain but add your own honey/fruit/etc to control sweetness)
Agreed - Trader Joe’s jerky split into sandwich bags is also good and handy. Eggs are solid too!
Quest makes a ton of good stuff. I really only use their bars after workouts but they also have chips and stuff if you're looking for other snack foods!
The amount of sugar alcohols they pump into those bars to make them not taste like garbage made me anxious about eating them regularly. Shit can wreck your digestive system and we don’t really know yet what the long term impact on gut health will be from consuming hyper processed sugar alcohols in significant amounts over time.
