Hi. I would appreciate any advice on this. I have been working in TCS for 3 years in Support domain. I have completed my PGP in Data Science and Business Analytics. I have been trying to get placed in Accenture. I applied last November as a referral to Accenture. However, my resume was rejected. I thought it was because I was not serving notice period and still studying my PGP. However, I have completed my degree now and am looking to switch over. (In comments) Accenture

All agencies except R/GA SF might as well just say “We’ll bring you in for an interview but we’re really looking for a white man for our all white male team so you’re welcome to waste both our time with this entire process.”
FTFY
Agree with SS1 - you're being crazy defensive and keep changing your tune. You said yourself you have less than a year experience in the industry!! Also, enough with the "the recruiter told me and so it must be true".
Damn, OP and SS1, get a bowl already
Open mouth, insert foot
Op - if they continually tell you they want to hire a women every time you go in, stop going in.
Definition of insanity: doing something over and over expecting different results

My strat department is pretty mixed male/female. I have though seen alot of strat departments be mostly female and mostly male. Ive always noticed men seem to always want to be right even when they are very wrong and women always say they are more intune with emotions and feelings. Neither is right or wrong just an observation
Yep, sounds about right...
@AD1 How was I generalizing at all? Also, how is @SS1 not doing the same by generalizing all “men, particularly white men” even though I’ve been in the industry for under a year? Take your bullshit double standards elsewhere
Gross. I reject this post. ❌
@Strategist2 Sound scientific approach
@AD thanks was trying to at least think about it
@Director I also know the recruiter and know for a fact that it came down to it. I understand woman face this all the time, and I’m not even really complaining about it happening to me; just the fact that they’ve brought me in 4 times now and it’s always the same thing. It’s just waste of time on both ends
*women
@Director1 Literally just saying quit asking me to come in if you don’t want to hire a dude. I don’t have a problem with them making that call at all and understand women go through it daily and for, well, all of human existence.
But no, I don’t know the recruiter on a personal or friendly level but they ended up leaving shortly after my last visit in and we chatted then. You can assume he has a ton of animosity or what-have-you, but he said it was a pattern he repeatedly saw the team go through and it obviously made his job difficult.
@Director1 You’re still assuming that I’m making an assumption and not being told this was the reason why by multiple people who work there. I’m not making any “big assumptions” - I was told this directly by the recruiter.
Totally open to the fact that I may be mediocre. But they’re also letting a jr/mid level make their hiring decisions which is just stupid if you ask me.
@BS1 You know nothing about my experience so if you’re going to talk about not making assumptions you should really practice what you preach
@PM1 people weren’t leaving until 2017, and as I said earlier, at the time I really liked the work R/GA was doing in the network. There were also some directors I wanted to work under, all of which have left in the last 6-8 months. I’m not “butt hurt,” but thank you for being a homophobic piece of shit, I just think it’s funny their NYC recruiter keeps trying to bring me in. Let’s say everything here everyone is assuming about me is true and that’s why I didn’t get hired, just for fun - why the hell would the new recruiter continually try to bring me in knowing I’m not a good fit? To me, and the few people I still know working there, it shows a blatant lack of organization and structure. Couple that with the talent that’s been leaving and yeah, I wrote that office off.
I think I already answered why I was looking for new opportunities fairly early on. As for the ego comment, that’s quite an assumption on your part, as with you essentially telling me I’m lying here. You can call me a dick all you want; I’m not the one making childish assumptions and name calling on anonymous social media. You all can say I’m making shit up or whatever you want, but I stand by what the former recruiter and previous employees told me.
Also @SS1, how many times have you been chased down holding the hand of the person you love? My assumption is never. So do not fucking try and tell me I’ve never been discriminated against. You have no idea what it’s like to be a gay man just like I have no idea what it’s like to be a woman
@SS1 So your discrimination you’ve face is more important than the discrimination I’ve faced simply because I’m a male? Glad you finally could admit it. I’m done here
I didn’t make a blanket statement about an agency; it’s about one office in particular. I fully admitted that women go through this all the time - are you just choosing to only read what you want or what’s your deal?
I’m not playing the victim, fucking Christ. I’m literally just saying the recruiter should stop emailing me and asking me to come in if they know they don’t want me. If they want a female, that’s fine by me just quit wasting both our time
@director1 it’s not an assumption.
