Hi fishes,
I have given an interview with Infosys on 2nd July and currently in portal it shows the status as 'Review in Progress' .Could any one let me know how many days it usually takes to get an update or does this mean they are interviewing other candidates for the same role .I have mailed the HR but no response from him.
Appreciate your comments/ suggestions on the same.
Hi Fishes
I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview

All agencies except R/GA SF might as well just say “We’ll bring you in for an interview but we’re really looking for a white man for our all white male team so you’re welcome to waste both our time with this entire process.”
FTFY
Agree with SS1 - you're being crazy defensive and keep changing your tune. You said yourself you have less than a year experience in the industry!! Also, enough with the "the recruiter told me and so it must be true".
Grey1 and AD1 got it on the nose. 👌
Ugh OP I think we all just want you to quit assuming they want a woman.
None of us are the recruiter or read minds. (Or give a shit because you’re a douche, frankly) If you want the answer, GO. ASK. THE. RECRUITER.
Seriously, who cares? You’re going to get passed over for many more jobs in your career for many reasons you will never know Move on. This is super unhealthy
OP please please take a time out and try to understand why EVERYONE has pushed back on you. Please try to understand that just because the recruiter gave you a reason for not being hired doesn't make it true. Please allow for the very real possibility that they aren't looking for a woman, and they just happened to find a person that wasn't YOU, after many rounds of deliberation.
@SS I’m all for hiring a diverse work force, but hiring people solely based on gender, sex, or race just to call your agency “diverse” isn’t truly being diverse - that’s meeting benchmarks so they don’t end up on agency spy.
But hey, maybe the two former employees that left there who both agreed that it’s an issue with that particular team have no idea what they’re talking about - both of which are women
U MAD BRO LOL
So, real quick...
If you and the person they hired are otherwise equal, and the only real difference is that she is a woman:
1. That's a completely valid reason to choose her if the person doing the hiring feels the team needs broader perspectives. Her life experiences, not just her work experience, matters... this is where real diversity exists.
2. To respond to your initial point, just because her gender was a factor does not mean that they only ever intended to hire a woman. It was A factor, not THE factor
3. Look up the Rooney Rule. It's aboit racial diversity, but it is often applied to gender.
Someone’s mad they work at Saatchi...
Just curious OP, how did you come by your feeling you were being discriminated against? Just because the 2 women you speak of said so? Your complaint just seems super specific.
LOL wow. @OP’s complete disconnect with reality sure is something else.
Yep, @Director1. His story keeps changing.
at this point, nobody cares about your recruiter issue... move on, sir.
don't worry, in a couple of weeks KP will email you about the same role
So is everyone else she works with.
Sigh. Dude, you are exhausting.
You’re hung up that no one answered your question. I answered it. I told you no one here can answer it. Only the recruiter can. If you want an answer, go ask the recruiter. Your obsession and general anger are super unhealthy. Good luck
I interviewed 11 times for my last job. All places have different hiring practices. Maybe they’re intrigued but not exactly sure about you yet, maybe they’re being through. Quit whining and continue look elsewhere.
Wow, this was painful to read.
OP, if this is a new recruiter AND they're from the NYC office, chances are they don't know about your previous history of interviewing under the old local recruiter. It's sad but true that internal recruiting people within HR are usually a total mess and don't speak to each other among offices. If you're still interested in pursuing this position, go along. Say, "Thanks, I'd be happy to meet up with the team again if the opportunity is still on the table" type of thing. That will prompt the new recruiter to ask if you've interviewed before and look into it. Or, politely decline and move on. Good luck.
hahahahahahahaha sikk humblebrag bro “why does she keep *INSISTING* I come in?!!!!???!”
@SS So what you’re saying is all white male juniors and prospects for the industry shouldn’t be given fair chances to get a a job? I’m not arguing that discrimination based on sex doesn’t happen, but you’re essentially placing blame on the newbs for the industries own faults. I strongly prefer to work for women, they’re calmer, give clearer direction, etc. but when the recruiter quits because “it’s like the math is wrong and suddenly the answer is wrong” - that’s a real issue for the company
@SS, nah, I have a job, dumbass. I just really liked R/GA’s work - until they played these games with me for literally 18 months
