The numbers don't add up, for a comp increase of that level you would expect at least 4% bonus. The bonus number is a joke compared to comp increase, which makes this post suspicious 😒

The numbers definitely don't add up at all. There was no PBB bonus payout that would have led to a $1,500 bonus on a $80k salary. Anything close to that means he was a 3, and getting a 5% raise this year based on firm results. Which leads to the next point; he definitely didn't get a 15% raise as a 3. And probably not even as a 5 at the Senior level, this year.
Cool story bruh.
For comparison I'm in assurance, senior 1 to senior 2 getting a ~7.3% raise from 68k to 73k as a 5 rating. No way risk is that much higher.
Because the Southeast had a down year, lost some large clients to mergers and acquisitions. His S1 salary is at the very top of the range for any LOS in the Southeast but he could potentially have reached that as an experienced hire. As EY6 points out his PBB means he would have been 3 rated and there's no way in hell he gets a 12k raise as a 3 rating in the Southeast on a down year.

I just got promoted to senior 1 and I'm at 81 and from what I was told it was outside the salary band so Id imagine you're above almost all of your peers
Source: I'm an experienced hire, 5 rating for both years and currently getting a 5k raise in a market that has one of the higher raised in the SE. Raises are meant to put you in an earnings band equivalent to your peers with the same rating. There's nowhere in the Southeast where your average 3 rated senior 2 makes 92k

tell you what. Read through the 300 plus posts on the ey fish bowl compensation thread for 2017. Why would his salary be over 20 percent higher than any others in his position ? Whay kind of outlier is this guy? Just doesn't add up.
I have read. Doesn't mean it's impossible. The pbb is what doesn't make sense, not the salary. Who knows his background and what specialty line he's in
