Seventh year co-managing a case with another seventh year. He’s more gunnerish than I am, but I have zero desire to be partner and plan to be out of here by end of year, so generally I don’t care. But today he took the liberty of providing unsolicited comments to my portion of the workstream and sending it in an email chain with partners involved. The comments aren’t even helpful. Why are lawyers like this.

Well applied, young gun

If someone wants to get all up in it, there are two possibilities-- (1) they are right and its productive; (2) they are wrong and everyone knows it; or (3) literally nobody cares.

In any case, just letting it be is kind of the best option. Also you should start to low key hate them and talk smack behind their back.

Wee bit haha. Actively decided not to correct before posting.

funny

Unless the comments are fundamentally incorrect, just accept them graciously as a team player and don’t let it bother you. If you’re out by the end of the year, this isn’t worth your energy or time.

Texans. Just got an offer from a V10 to relocate down and do litigation. Excited but the offer was 20k below market. Talked to managing partner and they said it’s the market in Houston so if I can find other firms paying full market they will raise it since I’ll be the only jr. - mid level. So give me names, who pays cravath in Houston?
