Should an employment lawyer consider getting a PHR/SPHR certificate? Is it worthwhile?
A lot of in house opportunities seem to be looking for them

Debating on finishing school. I have no desire to move into management & I went back to school to finish my undergrad as more of a personal goal. However it’s very time consuming & exhausting working & going to school as a non-traditional student. Financially, the company is paying for my degree & there’s no pressure for me to finish. I’ll be making 6 figures in the next 2 years if I stay with my company regardless of degree status. Is it worth the time & stress? GPA was a 4.0, now it’s a 3.0

I work in the interactive group at my agency. I had a chat with my CD today and said I’d like to move to another account soon. She asked what I’d want to do and I replied that I’d be happy on consumer goods, healthcare, banking, etc. She stopped me and said, no you need to decide if you want to be UX, a long form writer or other specialty. She said there’s no such thing as just being a “copywriter” any more. This sounds nuts to me. Is this an interactive thing? Have I been in this biz too long?

Do you give a recruiter from an agency a third chance? One flat out ghosted me last time and before that she canceled on me due to a conflict at the last minute. I know recruiters are busy and have a lot on their plate, but as job seekers who are also working, it’s a lot to stop our day for an interview. I haven’t had too much luck with recruiters referring me to jobs. I’d rather do that myself. What would be a polite way to decline a third chance?

Started at a new firm in September. The firm sent me my pro rated hours requirement for the year. It includes no ramp up period (like, for example, it doesn’t factor in that my first week was full of mandatory systems trainings, etc). I was told there’s no expectation I must hit the goal, but it feels like maybe there’s an unspoken expectation that I do. Any thoughts? I’ll need to bill just over 8 hours a day from now to December 31 to make it. Doable but the bonus is also pro rated.
