What are some good bowls besides this one?
The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?

Yes! Use the credit card for everything!

Whoa careful there, first rule of credit cards is NEVER carry a balance. Use CC for all purchases but set your own limit of no more than 2 weeks pay on the balance.
Rising Star
If you could pay off your CC every month, you are missing out.
Just be as judicious with your budgeting and spending as you would otherwise
I’m just here for the Dave Ramsey cult to chime in to tell us that you should use a debit card for everything and get zero benefit even if you pay it off every month.

You don't have to for every purchase, but each card accumulates points differently. Travel, dining, entertainment, transportation, phone bills, etc.
It's all about how you accumulate points. There are more protections in place on credit cards than debit cards. It's not bad to use it for every purchase, but make sure you pay it off every month and you should be fine.

What do you spend most of your money towards? That's the most important question.
Personally, I have 5 cards. Spend a lot on groceries so I have amex bcp card. Chase Freedom Unlimited for drugstores and restaurants.
It's okay to get a card once a year if you know how to maximize is and manage it. Your score doesn't drop drastically. But don't get a card if you plan to get a mortgage or car loan in the next 6 months.
Yeah, definitely use a credit card. There is enhance protection against fraudulent charges compared to debit cards. And like you mentioned, you're missing out on points or cash back.

Chase triplet: Freedom, Freedom unlimited, Sapphire (Reserve/Preferred).
5% cash back: Discover, Citi, US Bank, Chase.
US bank is amazing because it’s 5% on utilities and phone bills, internet and streaming services.

Yes love the US bank card but I got a super low credit limit... I think because I don't bank with them
Yeah like others have said, points aside, cc is way safer. If your debit info is stolen its much harder to get your money back, cc you just call em up and they knock the charge off

Can I ask everyone what their fav credit cards are for everyday purchases ?

Chase Sapphire Reserve :)

I use my CC for everything and pay it off at the end of the month. To me, it’s a no brainer
Which card do you use?

Btw, you can use a BILT card for points on rent, as well.
Pay with CC, earn those points/miles & pay off as you go.
Some places charge a fee though - which outweighs the benefits. Mine is 3% of total for HOA
Enthusiast
Yes - credit for everything
I use my credit card for rent. Bilt. They use an ACH account to pay your rent so you have no fees and you get 1% in points. They are directly transferable 1:1 to United MileagePlus, too.
Everything else I use my Capital One Venture X.

Use credit cards for every purchase you can do your earn points on every transaction. Depending on the type of purchase, use the card that gives the best bonus (if applicable) then pay off the card in full each month.
Use the credit card and pay off each month. It will improve your credit score.
I used to play the credit card game, signing up for huge bonuses, revolving them by quarter for gas, groceries, the like. Too much work. And if anyone tells you this is worth it, they are lying or spend the 50k a month to make it worth it. But if you can spend 50k a month, you aren’t worried about this.
I only use my sapphire reserve for everything and apply rewards towards travel. Have about a million points now with this strategy worth 15k in travel.
It takes up no time because I swipe the same card every time
