Had a very serious query. In my current organization I was not under taxable bracket by any means so I didn't submit any investment declarations or anything. I live with my mom (Property owner) in delhi and pay 16.5k pm as house rent for HRA deduction.

Now, she need some lumsum amount of 5 lakhs and I would like to pay this but also show this as house rent while filing ITR.

2 MAIN QUESTIONS -

1. Can I pay 5 lakh and show as house rent in HRA while filing ITR?
2. Total yearly rent is 16.5 × 12 = 198k. Can I show remaining amount i.e. 302k as Rent for next year?
