I don’t know anything about Sia Partners, but as a Cap employee, it’s become increasingly apparent that Cap corporate does not care about their employees at all. They just announced that they are mandating RTO three days a week for “collaboration” but don’t have office space for us and most don’t work in the same city as their team.
Not to mention, the Houston office is unsafe and dirty, and set up like a call center, so peoples performance will suffer, and we will all be put on pips, and become easy to fire
We used to be flexible, but just decided to mandate people in the office three days a week
Ahh I'm in NYC, so i guess i would be expected 3 days a week
Definitely Sia but i’m biased!
We have strong WLB, and the firm is still at human size which helps with flexibility
I mean in NYC, we are prob the highest COL there is, so anything on top would be nice
If I had to choose one thing Sia does the best, its WLB.
My thought on Sia:
1. Market leaders are generally awesome to work with, very open and deep down want to create the family feel. Unfortunately, they are handcuffed most of the time and habe to abide by what comes out of Paris (HQ).
2. There is an abundance of ambition and drive at Sia, but a lack of direction & vision for the organization. We are constantly in a state of change and you can't help get the feeling of what's said today, will change tomorrow.
3. I truly think Sia has the potential to grow tremendously over the next 1-2 years. It's just a matter of solidifying growth strategy and sticking to it.
4. There is a big need to invest in internal staff and industry experts. Sia relies heavily on consultants who are fully allocated and lack industry expertise to build cutting edge solutions.
I’ve worked at both. Cap is total misery imho. Sia Partners is mostly beautiful but has some warts thanks to its crazy growth and super lean operations.
Pro
Sia is all about the WLB. We don’t travel or work weekends. You bill your 40 and that’s it. We just moved to a “hybrid” policy which means going in once a week unless you’re on a client. Then it’s up to the client.
Asignificant number of resources were let go in Capgemini FS two month back. Management can be very reactionary to market noise.
Have worked at both. DM me
