So I got a voicemail earlier from a recruiter at Capgemini for a role I applied for in SAP Hybris (at least that's my assumption). Haven't had a chance to call her back but I'd like to get an idea of how I should prep for interviews with them (still new to consulting and IT in general)

It's not a great place to work. Most folks aren't that smart. Their process and structure blows. For the time I was there, it was miserable. I thought about taking any job at any company (for a little lower salary) just to be working with people that would make me a little better each week.

It's essentially a staff aug organization. You might be better at Slalom (though that's relative too).

If money is your driver than take this job. Though I'm sure if you look hard enough you'll get more money.

This will vary wildly depending on which BU, MU and what kind of role (BA, SA, dev, etc).

SC1 is correct. Or if you know the practice that could help too.

Just to update, the BU is their Consulting services and the role is Senior Applications Consultant - SAP BRIM SOM
Location is Atlanta, GA

Another update: spoke the recruiter earlier and had a good conversation with her. She said she will be pushing my profile across for an interview!

I agree with SM1. Stay away unless you’re desperate

Jr. Associate at an AmLaw 100 firm in Central Florida. Good credentials; top 10% at T14, law review. Sick of private practice bc of hours and pressure. Also, not enjoying the work that Central Florida offers, but want to live here.

I want to one day have my own firm. Trying to think outside the box on how to get the experience w/o being in big law for ten years.

Thinking of applying to be an ASA and to the FL AGO. Would like trial experience or civil rights/con law work.

Thoughts appreciated!

Got contacted by a McKinsey recruiter for experienced hire interview (position I applied for) and she connected me directly to the partner due to my domain expertise. Partner liked my expertise and gave thumbs up. What would be the next step? Do I need to go through other interviews (exp/case interviews) still or does this mean process is being expedited since my area of expertise is in demand?

A long post: seeking some perspective. My husband of 2 years that I’ve been in a relationship with for more than 8 years just woke up one day and told me that he’s unhappy in our relationship. I’m devastated because he’s never expressed anything like this in the 8 years. He’s been super supportive and loving, even when we were in a long distance relationship. He supported my career and dreams and this just doesn’t make sense. We have gotten a counselor but things aren’t getting better. Comment>

But also my heart feels dead in general so 🫠. I’m already in therapy. What if this is as far as I can go in terms of emotional capacity? I am stressed.

That is all.

My natural instinct is to assume rejection if I have conflict with a partner or don’t think my feelings are reciprocated. I’ll try to bring it up with them, but I’ll say “if you want to end this feel free” so it doesn’t hurt me (and they can say what they really mean instead of sugarcoating). Someone told me today that they just assume I’m not interested because I always seem to “run” but I’m not sure how to bring up problems/feelings otherwise. How do you approach these hard questions?
