So I've been applying for jobs for awhile now and places like Robert Half & ltimate Staffing have been 100% useless for my job search. Recently, I completed a video interview for a well-known insurance company & have reached out to the Recruiter who contacted me TWICE & received no response. I interviewed 4 a state job last month & still have yet to hear updates. My current job is toxic as hell & there is no raise in the works yet. I feel so helpless!! I just want to provide for myself. Is there any advantage to telling a company you are interested in working for in the future where you decided to accept an offer from? Or does it not matter? I accepted an offer a week ago with a great company (Company A) that for this season in my life seems like a great fit and only strengthens what I have to offer company B down the road. Company B just sent me a request for interview and I want to keep the door open with Company B but they were just very late in extending an interview.

Why do companies do this? I interviewed with a company. They loved my work and told me that I’m going to start the following week. They made me sign all of the onboarding papers and poof ghosted me! 🤦‍♀️ I feel so down right now! And I feel like I won’t be able to ever land a job!

Home office preference question. I am getting ready to redo the layout of my home office. One option I'm considering would have my desk facing a wall. I am wondering if anyone with this current setup has any feedback about it. I would face the wall so that I would have a better background for video conferences (am on about half the day) and also my cord situation would be cleaner.

I was hired to manage the maintenance program, only to get here and physically do the work. 2 years later and being on-call daily but still expected to burn both ends of the candle and it does seem good enough for the corporate leadership. Collapsed this past Thursday at work and rushed off to the hospital only to find out that it was a stress induced panic attack. Come back to work on Monday only to find that my work load was added to. What will it take?
