Hi Fishies,
Looking for any reviews/suggestions regarding Pubmatic. Most important is the tech stack and learning aspects.
Big data technologies(Scala-Spark etc) and Java.
Also in discussion with Impetus and Autodesk (via third party i.e. Applicantz).
CTC is not a concern right now as what they are offering is enough for me right now.
Any suggestions would be helpful

It's short sighted. You'll get stuck in a staff accountant position somewhere with 10 other staff accountants. You'll likely never see the same earning potential as someone who's been promoted to senior or higher.
By all means if you want to leave then leave. Do what's best for your own life. You asked for our opinions and we are giving them to you. Sorry if it's not what you expected. I don't think you're going to find any people in here that will tell you your career trajectory will be as good if you leave as a staff vs as a senior/manager. It's just not true. That doesn't mean there aren't people who leave as staff that aren't successful, it just means in general people who leave at senior/manager tend to be more successful and have better long term opportunities than those that leave as staff.
To clarify, the original post was asking your personal opinion. What would you quit for?
Lol. SS1 said I everything I would have said if I'd had time today. It doesn't sound like you came here for the opinions of people who have more experience and know more than you do about the market. You think you know better, so you should leave and take another job.
D1 you IDIOT!!!! There is only one career!!! Accounting or DIE!!!! - audit senior staff 1
No. if you find a manager position at staff 2, it's going to be some tiny company. You'll still get stuck. Tough it out.
No, a bigger company won't take a manager without better experience. The title alone isn't enough.
I'm sure there is more than one career path you can take.
A company that will bring you on as a manager with only two years of PA experience is unlikely to have the technical complexity for you to grow. Once you hit senior you'll start dealing with more complex areas, it's not the years, it's the material you deal with. Do you know how to account for Goodwill? Business Combinations? Multiple deliverable revenue recognition? Debt? Have you worked with financial reporting and know the various reporting requirements? These are the skills you learn at the senior level.
People who put "busy" are by far the worst. Like who isn't busy during busy season?
You should leave if you get an offer of 70k no matter what. <--- There's what you wanted to hear.
Depending a HCL market, I think 70k - 75k would be about as good as it gets.
I wouldn't quit before making senior. 90k would be off the charts for a staff 2 (and unattainable unless there's a unicorn out there) but still not worth it in the long run.
Are you saying that I can't learn those things outside of public accounting?
@OP there's less opportunity to learn them outside. In PA you have exposure to multiple clients with different issues. This gives you broad exposure to many complex technical areas. In industry you will be working with one company with one set of issues. Lower chance that you'll get as broad of an exposure. Also anyone that's going to hire you as a manager after 2 years experience is going to be extremely small and have zero complex issues. Reputable companies just aren't hiring people with 2 years experience into manager level positions.
I understand your points but I also think you are making a lot of assumptions there
Lol ^. I wasn't trying to get any answer in particular - I was hoping to get multiple, hopefully differing, opinions. I didn't ask "should I leave as a staff 2?" I asked what the compensation and title would have to be for YOU personally to leave as a staff 2. You could say Accounting Manager of Coke if you want.
^Ok, since we're taking hypotheticals, it would take $100k and stock at Google for me to leave as a staff 2.
Assumptions: 1. The company MUST be small if they are hiring a staff as a manager. They can't possibly have any other reasons than that they are just that dumb. 2. Everyone in PA has the end goal of being a controller/CFO/CAO/VP/Director, no matter how many busy seasons and years of misery it takes to achieve that. 3. NO company would consider hiring an experienced manager if the position was at a smaller or less well known company. 4. There is only one path to achieve the goals in (2) and that is to stay in public accounting
Ohh. As a manager I'd want 120k+ total comp along with less hours. Also would want a nice bonus structure and stock compensation (if public or a startup).
