Hasn’t it been studied to show it’s faster than the traditional, assigned seat approach?
Yep. Which further supports M2s point lol. Ops observation isn’t consistent with the average, at least
Every airline boarding method has passengers who can't follow directions. I've seen plenty Delta Zone 1 passengers trying to board with Diamonds
Just want to throw it in here that Delta’s new boarding zone names suck
I cant stand Southwest
2nd that I never fly it
Nope. I love southwest. Always get my aisle exit row and love that. Plus free drinks and my companion pass is insane with my SO and I since both our families live in US and not in our city so it allows us to fly to them more and also have more US and some international vacations
Are you sure it isn’t just you? IMO they have very efficient boarding process
Compared to what? 9 groups of people all trying to get in before their group is allowed?
Cattle class. Only available for every traveler on every plane on Southwest.
Obviously you never fly Southwest as the boarding process is based on status, then ticket price. Probably more organized than DL, UA or AA
That’s why I love my SW status. Always board A25 or earlier, get my window seat, and let the peons fight over the remaining seats and bin space.
Not everyone is a consultant to have status. It’s definitely not about me as I am an A-lister. There were some really older people struggling to find seats and a place for their bags. They were all going back and forth. It took them a good 50 mins to finish boarding. United or American would win any day over this mess.
Sometimes, yes. But you should know as a consultant not to use absolutes. There’s a commonly cited study that shows SW method is better on average
