Got messaged by a C3 . ai recruiter. Read that wlb is bad and that the interview process is absurdly long, but the Glassdoor reviews are 4.2 and can't find actual hours worked posted by anyone. How's the culture really? I'd be aiming for DS consulting, something more functional but with DS/ML concepts as my differentiator.

Designing Data Intensive Applications. It basically plants the fundamental seeds on everything you need to know. Read the book and use it as a starting point for further research
Yeah I have heard of this one. Definitely one for my list. Ty.
ralph kimball’s data warehouse toolkit is a good one for data modeling. of course I’d probs spend my time learning programming languages up front
well sure, airflow is written in python so you’d definitely need to be proficient in using that language. the data platform roles you’re talking about are usually more engineering heavy, you’re building for reliability so code standards are stricter etc.
Do you have any experience coding? If so check out the udacity data engineering nanodegree. It’s pricey but it really does a great job of taking you from intermediate python programming and SQL to having a really good grasp of DE.
Generally is aroun $1600 but will go on sale around black friday. Program is 5 months at 5 hours a week
will probably drop down to 1k during holidays FWIW. Imo it was well worth it
No one place, just learn about sql and tables and data types, schemas, architecture etc
Yep! I’m more of a BI engineer but I never found books super helpful. I really enjoyed Udemy courses where you build things along with the course, check out some top rated courses there!
