I’d wait another month and determine

Yes postpone

like

OP - I don’t think you’ll be going. I am sorry to say that. Delta is allowing people to cancel their flights with no charge, but then you have an eTicket. No refund, but a credit. I canceled some flights on Thursday - was only a 6 hour wait to speak to someone.

like

Thanks everyone! I think it might be best to just bite the bullet and postpone, but am just hesitant to do it. I definitely don’t see this getting better by then though....

I'm in London. Don't come. Things are starting to close now (eg tourist attractions, restaurants, etc) after the prime minister finally semi escalated the government's response on Monday. Things will only continue to get worse from here, and measures are expected to be in place for 12ish weeks, so that would include May.

Good luck with delta my flight is Thursday and I haven’t been able to get ahold of them

I called at 4am on Thursday and took 2.5 hours to get through.

like

Yes.

What is the downside to waiting?

I’m in the same boat - have a flight to London May 1st. Under normal circumstances they definitely wouldn’t refund basic economy, but wondering if they’ll be flexible bc of coronavirus. Let me know how it goes for you!

It says on their website that Transatlantic flights through May 31 qualify for a one-time change or cancellation with voucher to be used prior to 12/31/2020. I think you should be able to cancel!

My boss fired me because i ask for clarification on my employment right.

I got hired not long ago. I realise some of the employee benefits i was told (missing in the contract) contradict with what’s stated on the law. So i email the boss about it and ask for clarification. Immediately after the email i was fired.

Just want to make sure people know this and don’t apply jobs in this shady company- it is called UniQ Biotech, in Delta, BC, Canada

Any resume writer referrals? I’m trying to make the jump into project management. I have 13YOE managing cross-departmental projects and people, and I’d like to shed the general EA work of calendars/travel/expenses. But recruiters just see my most recent role is EA and that’s all they want to talk to me about. I’m hoping a better written resume will help target algorithms to get my resume viewed for other roles.

Hi, I'm an employee at a hotel chain who works remotely. I've been working remotely for over a year now and I love it! The company I work for is very supportive of remote workers, which is great.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.

Flew for the 3rd time since last March. I LOVE how all these consultants (and yes you can tell they are consultants) board the plane early with status. Who really wants to be on the plane longer than they need to be during Covid? I will board last thank you very much. Status be damned.
